CASE OF ANTHRAX

SHAVING BRUSH BLAMED WARNING TO PUBLIC (Par Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Dr. Telford, medical officer of health for Canterbury, to-day issued a warning against the use of unbranded shaving brushes bearing the number 332, but. not giving the country of origin. A case of anthrax recently occurred in South Canterbury, and Dr. Telford states that investigations suggest that the source of infection was a. line of shhviiig brushes recently on sale, and one of which tlie man affected purchased. This brush so far lias not been proved to be infected, but. another similar sample purchased by (he departmentproved to be heavily infected with anthrax bacillus.

Dr. Telford advises that all such brushes should he burnt.
