The license was renewed as formerly, and the amendment was approved. C. Carrington (Mr. Chrisp), application for an area license for the Cook, Waikohu. Lhiwa. Waiapu. Uputiki, Waima and Hawke’s I fay counties for the carriage of horses only.—The applicant also sought thir right to run as far as Palmerston North. The authority renewed the license as formerly, and reserved Hie amendment for consideration at the Napier sitting. A further application was made for the transfer of this license to .Murray Carrington, and this was approved. Auekland-Gisbarue Transport, Limited (Mr. lieaufov), application for a. route license Gisborne t" Taneatua via Molu or Waioeka. including any point in the Cisboine, Oputiki. or V/hakatane boroughs, with restrictions. —As an amendment , .the applicant company sought the right to carry mails. The license was renewed mi the same terms and .conditions as before, and the right to carry mails was given. K. A. '(Church (Mr Chrisp), applimiI ion for route license G isbnnie-Puha, Puli a-M aii gat u, and Gisborne-Ormond, via Waiohiku, with tlie riglit to deviate Jive miles on side roads north of Ormond. —As an amendment the applicant applied to run he tween Ormond and Gisborne via Makaraka instead of Waiohika, and sought an area license for the 'Cook and Waikohu counties. As tlie amendment concerning the area license had not. been advertised it was disallowed, but the applicant was granted an extension of two miles beyond Tuba. The other amendment was approved, and the license was renewed on the same terms as fonneriv.
Jury and Parry (Mr l>. E. Chrisp), application for an area license for the area, within a tlO-milo radius of the Gisborne Post Office, for life main highway to Tolaga Bay, and for the Cook and Uawa counties for the cartage of wool and livestock only.—Tiro application was granted on the same terms as before.
W. Barron (Mr L. C. Parker), area license for the Cook, Waikohu, and Uawa counties, including the Gisborne
Borough, and for the main highway to Napier and Hastings and an area within a radius of 1(1 miles of Hastings for the carriage of goods from four slalions only.—Mr Parker explained that the application was an unusual one, in that the license was required for cartage for only four stations in which the applicant was interested as trustee, mortgagee, or owner.
