POST IN COLONIES
! DEPOSED FRENCH JUDGE STAVISKY CASE ECHO PARIS, Feb. 28. M. Prcssard has been deprived of Jiis position, which was practically the equivalent of the Lord Justice of Appear in England. It is expected that he will now be exiled to an administrative post in the colonies.
A cable message yesterday stated that the Stavisky commission ascertained that the police were aware of details of the Bayonne swindle before the Credit Municipal was launched. An inspector submitted a report in 1931, action on which would have precluded tho developments. M. Pressard, head of tho Seine prosecutor's office, a brother-in-law of M. Chautcinpts, was held to be responsible for the delays and negligence. Ho was deprived of a recent judgeship, and will not be appointed until he answers the necessary questions.
