KIDNAPPED GIRL “TALKED TO THE POLICE” (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received January 4, 2 p.ni.) NEW YORK, Jan. 3.
A panic-stricken mother reported to tho police to-day that she had received a series of telephone threats that her daughter, an 18-year-old cabaret entertainer, who was missing, would either bo killed or maimed. The girl is known to be an associate of gangsters, and was scheduled soon to testify against one in an important criminal ease. The first, telephone call declared that the girl would be killed, but a later one said: “Your daughter will bo returned iu 4S hours with her tongue cut out. You talked to the police when we told you not to."
