AERIAL TRANSPORT
RUSSIAN ENTERPRISE AIRSHIPS TO BE USED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 22, 3 p.m.) RIGA, Nov. 21. The Commissar of Transport, emphasising the need for developing civil aviation, stated that the stratosphere balloon factory was building quantities of uniformly-designed aeroplanes and planning depots throughout Russia in order to apply aerial transport for precious metals and furs from northern hunting grounds. Six airships already have been built under the supervision of General Nobile, whose plan to construct the world’s greatest airship lias been officially sanctioned.
