LAND BOARD MEETS
SHORT BUSINESS LIST DISCUSSIONS IN COMMITTEE Tlie monthly meeting of the Gisborne Land Board was held to-dav, there being present Mr H. L. Primrose, Commission of Cr-own Lands, in the chair, .Messrs. .1. 11. Reid, R. 11. Wickstoed, G. O. Donovan and A. G. Nolan. The business list was a short one, and the applications and reports were dealt, with in an hour or two, •but the application of policy measures to certain lands under the control of the Lands Department was the subject of lengthy discussion in committee. Among the matters dealt with were the following:— Application for land. —Pt. section 7) Block XVI. Waiawa S.D.; area. 19 acres: Applicant, Mrs A. J. Hustler, granted land at a price of £2O. Cancellation of temporary tenancy. — W. L. Rutledge applied for permission to surrender his grazing right over Evans and Mtulford’s property, Section 4. Block XII, MoanuL S.D.: Tenancy cancelled as from March 31, 1933. Forfeiture. —(Section in Waiatahi parish, property abandoned: The board recommended the forfeiture of tho land, on grounds of abandonment.
Application for consent to sublease. —Section 3, Block H, Turanganui S.D. (Willows Settlement). Nancy Knox to William ’Campbell and Thornlev G. Campbell: Application approved.
