EXPORT OF WHEAT
EXCHANGE QUESTION RAISED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Tho decision of the Wheat Purchase Board to export 7701 tons of surplus wheat was discussed by the Chamber of Commerce, which resolved that the Government bo asked to ensure that any exchange cost incurred shall he a charge upon tho funds of the Wheat Board. Mr A. C. Lunn said that assuming the hoard received 2s per bushel it would realise £200,000, on which the exchange would 'bo £50,000. If that £50,000 was going to lie given to ono primary industry, lie said, it should be to that, section suffering most, the poultrykccpers.
