Captain 'Rudolph Poplar, who rode Gvi Lovam in the Aintree Grand National of 1931. was killed while riding in the Kinskv Memorial race at Pardubice, Bohemia, on October 16. Captain Popler was an officer in the Czechoslovakian Army, and obtained leave to go to England to ride bis horse, at Aintree.
