MISSING MAIL BAGS

UNAVAILING SEARCH DISAPPEARED FROM REMUEEA (P«r Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last'night. When the liner Remuera 'arrived at Wellington from London on October 2 last, it was' discovered h.y the postal authorities that three bags of registered mail matter were missing. The missing bags comprised 46 packets for Wellington and 14 for Auckland and nine collective parcels for Wellington and 19 for Auckland. The only occasion on which the Remuera’s, mail room was officially opened hetween London,and Wellington was at Curacao, where mail bags were landed. After the Curacao mail was taken from the mail-room the door was locked in the usual way. The postal authorities in Wellington have been in communication with the London authorities regarding the missing mail bags.
