CRICKET BROADCASTS

TEST MATCH COMMENT ENGLISH AND TRENCH SERVICE * PARIS, Nov. 13. A ball by ball description of the cricket test matches in Australia will be broadcast from Paris, it is announced. by Paris Radio. The service has been organised by Mr A. E. Whiteiaw, the Melbourne merchant, who is now in London, and will apply to all live matches, covering the period 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Sydney time). The broadcast will be based on cable messages arriving in Paris from Sydney every minute and will include a running comment. It should bo easily audible to British listeners. The cost of the experiment will be £6OOO. Mr. Whiteiaw is a Melbourne man. who transferred bis interests to England, and has done well in the soap manufacturing business. 110 it was who presented Don Bradman with £IOOO during the last tour of the Australian cricketers in England.
