FREEZING WORKS DISPUTE
FREE LABOR IF NECESSARY
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day
It is slated authoritatively that according to present indications the Wellington Meat Export Company’s Ngahauranga works will commence killing some time next week. If the former employees do not turn up, free labor will be engaged.
A similar statement has been made on behalf of the Gear Meat Company. Normally, each of these works employs about 100 slaughtermen.
