WATER-HOSE RESTRICTION
APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC “NO SECOND CHANCES” If the Borough Council finds it necessary to put a complete -ban on the use of water luises, there will he no second 'chances for offenders. This statement was made at last, evening’s meeting of the council iby the Mayor, Mr D. W. Coleman, M.P., when he made ail appeal to the public for cooperation in the conservation of the water supply. Mr C oleman wished to warn the public that if the water was not conserved hones would he prohibited, and
'Vs year there would be no second chances. Last summer the council was very lenient, -but this time prosecution would follow the first offence.
The council would not prohibit the use of the hoses sooner than necessary, he said, hut if the present use .was abused the council would bring in the •omplete prohibition at an early date.
