At the London Gaiety

THE new piece in which Miss Madge * Elliott and Mr. Cyril Ritehard are appearing, evidently with great success, at the London Gaiety, is described as “farce undiluted and unabashed,” under, the title of “The Millionaire Kid.” Mr. l addie Cliff and Barry Lupino are the chief comedians, and the ludicrous antics of both especially in one scene where they appear as waiters, are of great assistance in helping the production on its humorous way. The millionaire, an “oil king,’ who cheerfully answers to the nickname ot “Skinney,” causes a great deal of confusion in the aristocratic circles of Dcvenish Court, by proposing to Jane, when lie meant to propose to Gloria, her cousin. ’1 his seems to ho the main incident of a plot which rambles with delightful irresponsibility over a vast area not even remotely connected with the story. Dr. Noel Seolt has written the hook, and Billy Mnverl has set it to music which is described as bright and jolly. Miss Madge Elliott and Miss Vera Brvce are in prominent roles as Gloria and Jane. "It was a joy,” says the Morning Post, “to hear the old-fasioned cheers ringing out once again in the Gaiety Theatre.
