Sums amounting to £ll2O are mentioned in a charge of theft against Albert Kellerway, 37, accountant, employed by the Australian Mutual Provident Society, the alleged thefts being over a period from October, 1027, to October, 1.030, Accused appeared before the magistrate, Air. T. B. McNeil, to-day and was remanded on £250 bail to April 1 on his counsel’s application. fi was stated by the police that since being interviewed accused had given every assistance to arrive at the amount of the defalcation.
