The Bay of Plenty Jockey Club’s races began to-day in line weather and in the presence of a large attendance. The track is in good order. Trial Plate: 7 Kiritahanga 1, 11 Winter Boy 2,2 Dainty Manners 3. Scr.: Matoiiga and Alomonatui. Won by threequarters of a length, and a length. Brown Memorial Handicap.—l Hit the Deck 1, 6 Laptown 2, 3 Vital 3. Also started: Al'iss Albyn, Joy Girl, Torrapeen, Kekarnurau, and Production. Won by half a length. Time, 1.4.
