The Minister of Justice (Hon. T M. Wilford) has announced that a. small supplementary list of women justices of the peace would be published shortly. He regretted that the list had been delayed owing to the absence of reports in some cases.
At a meeting of the creditors at Dunediu of William Quan, a Chinese storekeeper, tbe. Official Assignee, referring to the honesty of Chinese, said it was probably a bit higher than that of the white man. A creditor remarked .than Quan was probably not honest because ha had not been educated in China. Counsel: That is somewhat of an indictment against our own educational system, is it not?
