BREWERY REFUSED
ASHBURTON APPLICATION (Special to the Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. Cabinet has had under consideration an application for a brewery license, for Ashburton, in view of the changed electoral boundaries bringing the area into a licensed electorate. The Premier states that the decision is not to grant a license. Questioned regarding the club charter application, Sir Joseph Ward stated that this had not been before the Government.
