The treacherous surf adjacent to Gosfor'd to-day claimed two girls, aged 10 and 14 years, whose names are unprocurable. Several men were also carried out. - Captain Maclntyre’s aeroplane was close by, and hopped off with lifebelts, which were dropped from overhead and fell near the girls who,, however, were drowned. The men, after a desperate tight, reached the beach: Later. The names of the two girls who were drowned near Gosford are Elsie* Boycoek, 14, and Beryl West, 10. The elder girl’s body "was" recovered, but the other has. not been found. A bathing, party-had been made up to celebrate Miss Boycoek’s birthday. ....
