WIRELESS AERIAL

STRUCK BY LIGHTNING SYDNEY, Dec. L 7. During Saturday afternoon s storm the wireless aerial at tlie residence ol Mr. W. If. Hiscox. in Fricourt avenue, Ettrlwond, was struck by lightning. ’lho wires leading from the aerial into the house were fused, and the wires of the telephone were also put- out of order. Flames ran along the wires from the wireless aerial, aAd the rafters' ot the front, verandah of the cottage caught fire. All tin' inmates of the house were absent, but- neighbors quickly subdued the flames. No damage was,done to the house, but all the electrical fittings, and the wireless set, were ruined.
