"OCEAN WAVE" MISHAP

SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED (Per Press Association.)' , WELLINGTON, this day. Shortly before 10 o'clock last night, when, an "oeean wave" which is being used in connection with the , pevone carnival was well filled, and •was whirling round at a considerable speed, the support of the base cracked and broke, with the result that the head which carries the ring for the seating came off and crashed to the ground. A few of those on board managed to leap to the ground in time to save themselves, but several others, and some who were in the vicinity m| suffered injuries which necessitated V?' their removal to hospital. The latest information, however, is that the injuries are not serious.
