UNPOPULAR PROPOSAL
OUTLAWRY OF WAR PLANES (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.! PARIS, Dee. 24. A suggestion that the use of aeroplanes in war should he outlawed and that commercial aviation should be internationalised, was made in the Senate to-day by M. De Jouvenal, exeditor of Lc Matin. M. De Jouvenal \s proposal that France should make such an idea part of her disarmament programme at Geneva was met with hostile jeers by one senator, who remarked, ‘ ‘ What a splendid .speech for our enemies abroad!”' M. De Jouvenaal vigorously attacked the French Government for increasing military expenditure.
