LAWN TENNIS

ASSOCIATION TOURNEY RESUMPTION TO-MORROW Owing to the light rains which fell during the night, it was decided by members of the Poverty Bay and East. Coast Lawn Tennis Association to suspend play for to-day, in order not to damage the courts of the Gisborne Club, kindly placed at tho disposal of the association. Weather permitting, the tournament will be continued to-morrow, when play will be resumed at 9 o’clock. It is regretted that the delay has occurred, as it may mean carrying the tourney over into next week, but the association officials roly upon the goodwill and cooperation of tho players, and hope to dispose of the balance of all divisions within the week.
