Taking an average through the seasons, December's grading in Hawke's Bay is generally found to exceed that of November. ■ The. production of butter for the eight months of the season has reached a, total of 42,697 'boxes, an increase, of 16,100 boxes on the same eight months of 1927-28. ami that season was considered by. dairy farmers to bo a most satisfactory one.
