PAIUS, March 8. It is stated that the speed and firing tests which have joist been completed by the ,10,000-~ton French '.cruiser Duquesne have been highlV ! satisfactory,. '" , The Duqucsne is 621 ft. long, and hor armament is stated to consist of eight guns of, 203 millimetres, eight of ,75 millimetres, and eight automatic aritiaeroplane guns of 37 millimetres. She has six -torpedo tubes and mechanism for launching into the air two aeroplanes. Her engines are stated to have developed 130,000 -h. p., and the speed attained is given, as 25.3 knots.
