ITALIANS FIGHT RAPIER DUEL
LONDON, April 10. A romantic duel has been fought, by two men well known in tho West End, says the Weekly Dispatch, An Italian, i’rinee Piero Colonna, who married the daughter of Countess Gregoriani, recently came to live in London, and found that, his cousin, Prince Colanna, refused to receive his wife, owing to a family difference. Italian chivalry prevents cousins duelling, so Piero searched for C-olonna’s nearest of kin, and selected Dimitri Sursock, a wealthy bachelor, popular in London clubland. They met in Rome, and Piero asked whether lie approved of Colonna’s attitude. Sursock assented, and Piero is alleged to have struck him in the face, file duel was fought secretly at dawn, owing to the Italian authorities prohibiting it, once, resulting in the arrest of both. This time Sursock received two slight wounds, and Piero escaped unhurt.
