HUNDREDS OF MILLIONAIRES
MILLIONS OF WORKLESS NEW YORK, April 2. Mora than 300 millionaires have been made, in the Western States by the recent rise in prices on the New York Stock Exchange, according to veterans of Wall street. Many of the latter failed to make money, believing that the market could not go so far. Wednesday’s total sales of 4,080,000 shares set a now record. While Wall street was making these hundreds of millions of dollars, unemployment was vigorously discussed by the Senate Committee. Senator Wagner claimed that there were 4,000,000 men idle in the United Stales, compared with 1,250,000 in Great Britain.
