SIX PERSONS DEAD
LONDON DOMESTIC TRAGEDIES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Sydney Sun Cables.) (Received January 17, 1 p.m.) LONDON, January 16. Six persons are dead as the result of two domestic tragedies in London. Alexander Filson, residing at Barnes, committed suicide aftojr shooting his son John, aged 19, and his daughters Margaret and Mary, 14 and 9 respectively. Friends say Filson had been depressed as the result of his wife’s death a year ago.
In the second case a tradesman heard groans in a house at Poplar. The police forced an enliy and found the. bodies of Emily White and her brother, peter, both of whom had been killed by blows on the head with a. hatchet. They also found 1 William, another brother, lying with his • throat cut. He was taken to hospital and detained hy (ho police. The Whites were an eccentric. family and had little communication with their neighbors.
