TRANS-ATLANTIC SCHEME ’ S EXTENSION (Sydney Sun Cables.) (Received January 17, 1 p.m.) LONDON, January 16. The paper, the Weekly Despatch. says that- following the tests of trans-Atlantic telephony, the scheme will shortly be extended to a number of provincial cities, including Manchester, Liverpool, Biimingliam, Leeds, Cardiff, Sheffield, Hull, and Bradford. The calls will be transmitted via London.
