A YOUTH'S CRIMES
STOLE PROM LETTER BOXES
(Per Ptoss Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A youth aged 17, whose name was ordered to be suppressed, pleaded guilty in the Police' Court to ten charges of stealing stamps, money, and postal notes, the property of city business lirms, of a total value of £l4 12s, 2d, and also a signet ring and plate worth 33s 6d. The' accused' admitted that he had operated on 20 letter boxes. The chief detective said the accused destroyed over ICO letters. Probation for two'years was ordered.
