LONDON WOOL SALES The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., have, received the following cable from the London office tinder date October 6: — , As compared' with last sale's closing rates, prices are about 5 per cent. higher for medium merino, scoured merino super, coarse greasy crossbred, hoarse scoured crossbred; about 5 to per cent, higher for crossbred Jambs, medium greasy crossbred, coarse crossbred slipe, line' scoured crossbred, medium scoured crossbred, greasy merino super, line greasy' crossbred; about par to 5 per cent, higher for inferior merino and merino lambs. Sales closed firmly to-day. Composition on German and French account is active. Home demand is good, Prices realised for average, to super grades of description as below were as f '"lows : .Merino super, 24d to 26£'d'; ven.no, average, 19d to 2od; crossbred, 56/58; 22d to 25d, 50/56 to 21J,d, 48/50 15d to 17|d, 46/48 14d to 16d. 44/46 13d to 15d, 40/44 12.UJ In 14d. 36,40 12.1(1 to ld£d.
