Tlie official announcement, of the Duke of York's visit will lie published next week simultaneously in Britain and Australia. The details are subject subsequently to consideration, particularly whether the Duchess and their child will accompany the party. if the Duke of York goes alone, the proposal is to follow the Prinee of Whiles’ precedent, utilising a warship, but if he is accompanied by the Duchess, and the necessary feminine entourage, the visit must he made in mail ship, following the King’s precedent in 1901, because warships are not adaptable for womenfolk. Nevertheless, (here is a P l, ssibilitv that the mail ship may be escorted bv one of the most modern battleships.
