A DANGEROUS PRACTICE.

LEAVING MOVING VEHICLES. COiRONER’S COMMENTS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. An inquest was held to-diiy on Ebenczer Thomas 'KtoiTdnrt Lumber, who died on Tuesday as the result of injuries received from being crushed between the ferry steamer Duchess and the Ron a, Ray wharf. The coroner, Air. Riddell, R.M., in returning a. verdict of accidental death, commented on the danger that existed in leaving or hoarding moving vehicles, such as motor cars, trains, or ships. The deceased was placed in the care of a) doctor, and it was only natural that the doctor’s instructions should he carried out. For some reason the ambulance did not arrive until nearly an hour later, but that was no fault of the Eastbourne Borough authorities; neither was there any negligence on the part of tlie captain in connection with the accident.
