The well-known Hamilton racing motor-cyclist, Mr. C. Goodwin, mot with an accident near Rangiriri owing to the side-car attached to the motor-cycle he was riding coming apart from the machine. Mr. Goodwin, and a companion who was riding in the side-car, escaped with abrasions. The motorcycle was completely wrecked.
