SOLD TO, CENTRAL H.B. BOARD. (Per Press Association.) WAIPUK UR AIJ, This day. The Waipukurnu Borough Council, following lengthy negotiations and various counter-proposals, last night agreed to accept the offer of the Central Hawke Is Bay Power Board to purchase the borough electrical plant and reticulation (excluding the plant required for water-pumping valued at £1500) for £20,000. The council had in tlie first place offered to sell at £23,000 excluding the pumping plant, or for £25,000 for the whole plant. Possession will bo given the board on October 1.
