WEDDINGS.

JENSEN—CARTEL

Holy Trinity Church was thfe scone of a charming winding yesterday, when Margaret Winifred 1 , daughter of Mr and Mrs W. K. Carter, of Palmerston rend, was united in the bonds of matrimony with Hans Anton, son of Mr and Mrs .1. A. Jensen, of Palmerston road. The church had been beautifully decorated by the girl friends of the bride. The Rev. Mr Davies officiated, and Mr E. N. Sidebottom presided at the organ. The bride, who entered! the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a frock of silk georgette over heavy silk, with rich Italian lace, applicative in roses of autumn tints and outlined with silver. She wore a pearl coronet, and I lie orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of roses, carnktkms and fern. The bridesmaid, Miss Itenc Clark, wore a- pretty frock of shrimp silk georgette over heavy silk, with rainbow effect overskirt, and lace apron. She wore a bandeau and carried a bouquet of the same shades. The three little (lower girls, Annie Knox, Del Collins, and Marie Hall, wore dainty petals frocks of mauve, shrimp and green respectively, in rainbow effects, and carried pretty shower baskets. Mr Lancaster and Mr J. Primrose ruldlled the duties of host man and groomsman respectively. A reception was lie,id 1 at Lo (fraud Lounge after the ceremony, and a largo I number of guests were entertained, the usual toasts being honored. Mrs Carter received the gnosis in a French mode! gown of royal blue crepe de ehene, stencilled with IVuit blossoms, and a black lint with touches of silver. The happy couple were (lie recipients of many beautiful and costly presents, including' substantial cheques. Later in the evening they left on their honeymoon. Iho bride travelling in a tailored tweed costume, with velour bat and fox fur.

A wedding of considerable interest to Hawke's Bay was solemnised at St. Joseph's Cathedral, Wellington, when Mr Laurie Brownlie, of Pulcetitiri, Hawke’s Bay, was married to Miss Dorothy Cole, grand-daughter of the late Mr Thomas Cole, who was Mayor of Dunedin in 1910 and 1911, The bridegroom is the eldest, of the great footballing family, and lias rcpverented Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand (m the playing field'. His fnmmis All Black brother, Mr Cyril Brownlie, was best man.
