Racing in the four-oar for the Joyce Memorial Cup and .Mr. A, Stonehain’s trophies was continued last evening, when F. Stielibury (str), W. Alichio. A. Watson and W. Twigley met and defeat'd T. Hill (st;j, R. Barwick, R. Black, and F. McDonald by half a length, after a hard race. The crews got away smartly,- iStichbury having a slight advantage nt Roebuck road bridge. Passing through the footbridge, Hitt drew up a little, hut Sticlibury gradually went away, attaining a length’s lead at the Deiby street bridge. From here on both crew.-, spurted, Hill gradually reducing the lead to half a length, and in this manner the winning post was passed. The racing will be continued this evening. when O’Neill and Penny’s crews will meet. The winner of this race will row Sticlibury in the final. GISBORNE CLUB. The second round in the B. S. Cox fours was rowed last- evening. The first race was between W. Dent (stroke), Howell, O’Donnell, and Yeoman, and 1 C. W. Horne (stroke), Albrecht, Rowley, and Clare. The. crews got. a. good start, and raced together to the footbridge. Here Dent pulled away, and was soon a good length abend, which he gradually increased to two lengths. Dent had no difficulty in maintaining his lead, and won easily. Tbs second race was between B. P, Winter (stroke), Anderson. Hunter, and Murray, and A. J. Colebourne (stroke), Nicol, Khnw. and Ellrneis. Colebourne got a. beautiful start, and soon shot to the front. Winter had a very poor start-, and did not see in to settle down-. At the footbridge Winter put, in a good effort, and succeeded in getting within a canvas of C’olebonrne. The latter’s crew were rowing with good combination, and very soon drew away again. At Derby street. Colebourne was loading by n length, and this lie maintained to the finish.

The semi-final will he rowed to-night, when Arthur rows Pellow, and Colohniirnn rows Dent,
