NEW YORK, May 8. from El Paso state that the Vera Cruz garrison have joined the revolt. The rebels captured Lampass and stopped trains proceeding to Mexico City.

Later reports reaching tho rebel headquarters at Jaurez state that the cities of Saltillo, Zacatoeas, Aguascolientes, Morreon, and Oaxaea have fallen into rebel hands, with Generals Dioguex, Oasoario, Castro, Austin, and Oastro, joining the revolution.

Another report claims that General Hill received the surrender of Carranzistos at Mexico City this morning. Other reports state that General Obregon entered the city with rebel forces; that the Chamber of Deputies declared for the revolution; that half a dozen more Federal generals have gone over ; that Carranga is seeking to secure an armistice with the rebels. These reports require confirmation. .
