LONDON, Jan. '13.— A-b the inquest .concerning the death of; ICathleen Breaks, whose < body was found on a lonely beach between Blackpool and &t. Anne's-on -Sea with stab wounds m the neck and head,, evidence »was given that sl^ had been, .stunned and then shot while lying on the ground. A revolver that, has been found is alleged to have been sold ..to Frederick Roth-well Holt, a. former army officer, who haa been, charged with the muritier. , V ! Tlio evidence revealed that Holt and Breaks occupied a room at Bradford a* man -and wife". Breaks insured her life on November 28 for £5000, and revoked her will, making, another bequeathing tho insurance and jewellery to Holt. By remarkable detective -work the footprints of the man and women were traced m the *wet sand for miles to the lonely spot at -St. Anne's-on-Sea, where the body was found. Here the path" j-jaj'^pwed, and it was impossible for two -to- walk abreast. .The woman's footsteps abruptly terminated; and the man' 9 continued north, making a wide detour and turning back to -Sti Anne'g-on-Sea, where they were traced .to the vicinity of the spot where the revolver -was picked up. ..The boots .of Holt and Breaks fitted |na-Jmpress"ionß. made m the sand, and j Holt's room contained a pair of boots' covered with wet sand, while a pair of bloodstained gauntlets - found 1 on the sands wero identified as belonging- to Holt.-*
