BRITISH PRELATE OFFERS "VICTORY" PRAYER IN SENATE.
i WASHINGTON, April 2. A prayer for victory of the Allied arms, a "last and righteous peace" and for the men now "defending the causa of truth and freedom in the awful battle being waged across the sea" was made in the Senate to-day by the Right Rev. Cosmo Gordon Lang, Archbishop of York. The invocation closed with the Lord's Prayer, in which Senators and spectators joined.
