The school also *won : .J the senior shield m 1915, Mit one of th[e A supervisors not holding commission. rank, J the 'team, which put-up. an Empire shoot- r! ing record, 1 was . disqualified. This yedr,' the school gamed 1 istha*nd'46th places inj: the seiiior and 25th m the junior , com- ] petition. Tlie team's rifles were destroy-' ed invthe school fire last year, and members could not get. rifles with which toj practise. ' i Sii* Jas. Allen stated that oii account of ihe shipping risk .the original silver shields * were m London, but bronze replicas! had been sent out with medals for individual, members, bf the shooting i teams.. In congratulating the school on; jits record, he stated' that -the. double I victory -was riot only an honor', to the j school;' but to the whole of New .Zealand !
