COOK COUNCIL— — — — — \ At the Council meeting this afternoon estimates submitted by the County overseer were considered. Considerable discussion' endued, Cr. Lysner complaining that the more he studied liis riding accounts the more puzzled he became. , Tho cliairman suggested that they should hold the matter over to enable councillors to obtain the necessary information from the staff. Cr. Reynolds said that tho meeting at Tolaga Bay had carried a resolution,- m favor of raising £5000 (for a bridge fund and taking £1500 out of this fund for the new bridge.— The clerk explained that the proposal was not permissive under the existing regulations. H© had suggestedj^hat Tolaga riding should ask for permission to draw £3600 from the general fund to bear the cost of restoration of flood damage and to levy 1-10 of a penny over th© whole' riding to extinguish the advance m seven years.— Cr, Reynolds said he thought it was a v good suggestion.
