ROME, Jan. 22. Durinsf the evacuation of Gallipoli the cruiser Piedmonte rendered valuable services iv policing tho Bxdgarian, Littoral and keeping off the Austrian and Gorman submarines, for which serrice the British Naval Commander specially thanked fclie boat. The Piemonte also wrecked a long convoy train noarDedeaga,tch, and co-operated with the Alliesshins m the later bombardment. Several train loads of munitions and two large barracks for enemy reserves were battered- to pieces.
