The breach of promise case, Peatie v. Massey, fixed for hearing m the Supreme Court to-day, has been settled. Twenty' Clydesdales were shipped to Australia from New Zealand by the Maunganui, which left for Melbourne yesterday, They have* been purchased by a we_-krtov-Jn Melbourne exporter. Seven of the Clydesdales are from the Taieri , four colts from Mi- »S. Young* stud farm, and throe fillies from Messrs Thomson and Co.'s WairOnga stud farm. , A plentiful supply of potatoes came to the Duuedjn, market last week, and as they were not m keeping condition, sales had. to be forced, early in' the week : £7 a tori was obtained, but on Saturday the price touched £4,
