IRELAND AND SCOTLAND.
SUGGESTED TUBE RAILWAY

WASHINGTON, February 17.
A Chicago engineer has planned a submerged tube railway between Scotland and Ireland, believing that it will be for the commercial betterment and a remedy for Irish unrest.
The tube would be quite under water and free from the effects of wind and waves. Hj would be built m short convenient lengths, and towed out and sunk and fixed.
