Advice has been received locally- -to .> the effect tliat the Public Works Do-- >T Sartmerit has accepted the tender of Mr.. '. Haisman for the erection^of. the station buildings at Rakauroa and Mata- L , wai. The contract .price is understood 1 to be approxiniately • £25(X>. . _ Much delay has. taken place m cbn- ; nection with .the providing of the neces- ' sary .station buildings at both' Rakauroa and Matawai, and as the erection of the ; buildings will doubtless, occupy four or five months, that' "period" .will probably, lapse before the Otoko-Matawai section, is taken over.
