The National Union of Women's Suffrage ; Societies deputationised Mr Asquith and pointed out- the great advance of favorable opinion. The question was becoming one of democracy rather than sex. , Mi Asquith said he received the deputation because of the very impressive law-abiding demonstration ?n Hyd>B Park on the 27th. He advised the deputation to proceed on non-militant lines; If they converted the public nothing would prevent 'success. ■ " ' ■ - . '?■
