Otago generally, speaking have been delayed' in regard to the oat harvest, owing to the un-i certain weather. The grass seed crop, on the other band, is pretty well in. The cocksfoot at anyrato is safe, and it is likely to show a record yield. The usual big autumn demand for ,this line has set in, and ■ carters are taking it away as fast as ! it can' be cleaned. There will probably he a good surplus! for export this year.. Some of our cocksfoot finds; ; its way .to. the Continent, and many sackis annually eo to Siberia.
