PABlS„'August 20. • A troupe of cinematograph actors was playing at a village near Berlin' a ;scerie m wliich a band p£ poachers were represented as attacking some policejnen. Ail went well untir some worlapen, seeing a policeman lying on the grj^iss/ apparently dead and two others pursuing his murderers, rushed, up and/ furiously attacked the make-believe poachers. The -workmen were so incensed, that they wished to lynch the "poachers," and, -^ere only induced to spare them w<lien the farce was; explained. The, cinematograph operator m. the meantime had kept his nead, and this unexpected development was .recorded on the film! " So delighted was he, ; iii fact; with the excellence of the ''acting" tiiat the actors were compensated, for the rpugft hitadling they had e^p«ri«aced by a large gratuity -,.
