A Blenheim correspondent telegraphs that it is understood seA'eral large estates m the Marlborough district a.re to be subdivide^ i" *he near future. There is, a definite prospect of a considerable measure of closer settlement land being offered shortly. The extensive Hillersden Eistate, .m the Wairau Valley, and the Wither Run, Avhich comprises the range of hills Avith a,- flat frontage lying to the south of Blenheim, are freely mentioned. These pro« perties are under the control of the 'Carter Trustees, and legislation is noAV being arranged' bo enable the trustees to dispose of them m sections. It is also stated that there is every probability of the Leefield and Meadowbank Estates being subdivided into small holdings.
