KING'S DIGNITY VIOLATED.
LONDON, May 17. Amongst the Home Rule postcards lately put into circulation Avas one depicting the King standing m company Avith Mr Bonar LaAV (leader; of tho Opposition) arid, Sir Edward Carson. The suggestion conveyed- by the illustration Avas clearly that His. Majesty's sympathies Avere Avith those avlio are hostile to the Irish' demand fox;' selfrgovernttient. ' -••■'■.■■■
Inquiries that Avere at once made to discover Avho was responsible for the publication of the obnoxious postcards resulted m the discovery that they had been issued by a Liverpool firm of printers and publishers. These people have been cited to appfcar before the local court to answer a charge of lese majesty, but it is probable that if the firm apologises for its indiscretion no further proceedings will be takefj.
